*Training for small group leaders/assistants and the score keeper volunteer is required and will be held on Tuesday, June 4th from 5pm-8pm at Arcade Church (3927 Marconi Avenue, Sacramento)

Small Group Leaders & Assistants: Thursday 4:30pm-8:30pm, Friday 4:30pm-8:30pm, AND Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm

  • Male Small Group Leader [Sold Out]

    As a small group leader, you will have three fun-filled days of games, soccer, and in-depth conversations with campers! Leaders will be required to attend a pre-camp training for an overview of curriculum, to learn the games and receive some cross-cultural tips. Leaders are expected to work alongside their assistant leader in harmony, communicate with players patiently, and supervise their designated group of campers (approximately 8 boys).

    Duties:
    - Lead camp games and participate in simple soccer activities.
    -Lead small group discussions (curriculum provided)
    -Understand rules of the games (ask questions if needed).
    - Communicate with players in a compassionate and patient manner to ensure inclusivity and understanding (if problems arise, CCA staff are available as support)


  • Male Assistant Small Group Leader [1 remaining]

    As a small group assistant leader, you will have three fun-filled days of games, soccer, and in-depth conversations with campers! Assistant Leaders will be required to attend a pre-camp training for an overview of curriculum, to learn the games and receive some cross-cultural tips. Assistant Leaders are expected to work alongside their Leader in harmony, communicate with players patiently, and help supervise their designated group of campers (approximately 8 boys).

    - Set-up tables/chairs, event items, etc. under the direction staff
    - Wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothes to move, crouch, lift objects

    We are looking for volunteers that are adaptable, energetic, and patient. There may be communication issues with some players/families with lower English. Being proactive and problem solving will be beneficial. You will be expected to check-in players, following guidelines, as directed.

    Duties:
    - Check-off players that have arrived
    - Direct kids as needed to coaches, fields, and bathrooms


  • T-shirt Distribution - Thursday: 4:30pm-6:00pm [Sold Out]

    We are looking for volunteers that are adaptable, energetic, and patient. You will be expected to distribute t-shirts to campers, following guidelines, as directed.

    Duties:
    - Hand out t-shirts to individual players
    - Work in collaboration with player registration
    - Direct kids as needed to coaches, fields, and bathrooms


  • Water/Snack Station - Thursday: 5:00pm-8:00pm [Sold Out]

    The main responsibilities will be to fill and maintain 2 water stations and the coaches' snack area.

    Duties:
    - Prep, stock water & cups at stations regularly throughout shift (checking stations every 30 minutes).
    -Distribute snack bags at allotted times to assistant coaches
    -Check for trash, replace trash bags, maintain general cleanliness of bathrooms, and check in with lead team for any additional needs.
    **VOLUNTEERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO LIFT UP TO 40LBS.**


  • Media/Photography - Thursday: 5:00pm-8:00pm (drop-in anytime) [Sold Out]

    We are looking for an individual to come and take a multitude photos and possibly short videos that can help promote CCA/Summer Jam and tell a story of the day.

    Duties:
    - Take photos and videos of players, volunteers, and team photos etc.
    - Making sure to take many photos with no faces for ease of posting/sharing in the future.

    Please come with your own camera equipment.


  • Medical Personnel - Thursday: 5:00pm - 8:00pm [Sold Out]

    Address any needs that arise during the camp. Report to Becca. Must have CPR certification.

    As a tear-down volunteer, you will arrive and follow as directed to tear-down and clean the space as the day is ending. This could mean throwing out trash, hauling tables/chairs, loading up cars, breaking down boxes, etc.

    - Wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothes to move, crouch, lift objects

I recognize the possibility of injury and illness associated in any way with CCA’s events and activities and hereby assume all of the risks of participating in any activity with CCA, including for example any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault.
I certify that I am physically able to participate in CCA events and activities and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude me from participating in any activity with CCA. I will comply with CCA’s stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. I acknowledge that this Waiver and Release of Liability form will be used by the organizers and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities with CCA.

In consideration for being allowed to participate, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:
I, FOR MYSELF, MY SPOUSE (IF APPLICABLE), WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE CCA, its sponsors, hosting organizations, employees, volunteers and associated personnel of these organizations from any and all liability, including but not limited to liability arising from the negligence or fault of those persons and entities, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, and injury or damages of any kind which may befall me as a result of my participation in any sport or training program and/or being transported to or from the same, which transportation I hereby authorize.
I FOR MYSELF, MY SPOUSE (IF APPLICABLE), INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS CCA, its sponsors, hosting organizations, employees, volunteers and associated personnel of these organizations, from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participating in CCA events and activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, and hereby AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE any of them for such liabilities or claims.
I acknowledge that this activity may carry with it the potential for death, dismemberment, serious injury, and personal loss. The risks may include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, actions of other people (such as participants, volunteers, spectators, and coaches), and lack of hydration.
This waiver and release of liability shall remain in effect for the duration of my participation in the activity, during this initial and all subsequent events of participation.
Photographic Release: I grant and convey to CCA all right, title and interests in any and all photographs, images, video, or audio recordings of me or my likeness or voice made by CCA in connection with all of my interactions with CCA.
The above waiver, release of liability, and photographic release shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
